ASHRAE Philadelphia awards the scholarship to undergrads in the HVAC, engineering and science fields.
Arkema is a proud sponsor of the Debra H. Kennoy Scholarship.
ASHRAE's Philadelphia Chapter created the scholarship to encourage women to pursue studies and seek professions in the heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning industry (HVAC&R).
Our colleague Debbie was known for her exceptional dedication during her 20 years of service to the ASHRAE community. She was an advocate and mentor for women in the industry especially those new to ASHRAE.
This scholarship is open to undergraduate students who are studying mechanical engineering, architectural or science & engineering, chemical engineering or other related HVAC&R engineering disciplines that meet the purpose of the scholarship. While the first opportunity for the scholarship will be given to a female student who has graduated from a high school within the geographic boundaries of the Philadelphia Chapter of ASHRAE and/or attend an institution within these boundaries, all others will also be considered.
The amount of the scholarship award for 2024 will be $5,000.
