Foranext® Continuum: A B-Side Additive

One thing we've consistently heard from customers is that while storage and handling practices are important, they're often looking for a solution that addresses the issue at its source.
Why Arkema Developed Foranext® Continuum
As HFO-based polyurethane formulations become more widely adopted, maintaining long-term B-side stability continues to be an important challenge. Changes that occur during storage can impact formulation consistency, processing performance, and operational efficiency.
Why did Arkema start working on b-side shelf stability?
Several years ago, our team began studying the factors that contribute to shelf-life limitations in HFO-based foam systems. We wanted to better understand not only what was happening, but how we could help customers improve formulation stability over time.
What started as a research project evolved into a much broader effort. We explored various approaches to minimizing the chemical interactions that can contribute to stability challenges and evaluated technologies that could help preserve formulation performance over longer storage periods.
Our goal wasn't simply to identify the problem. We wanted to develop a practical solution that could help manufacturers maintain consistency and get more value from their materials.
That's why we're excited to introduce Foranext® Continuum, a new additive technology developed to help improve B-side shelf stability in HFO-based polyurethane foam systems.
